Crowne Plaza Ravinia

Location
Atlanta, GA

Project Scope
The Crowne Plaza Ravinia Public Area renovation was a complete interiors renovation of a large two-level atrium area as well as replacement of all finishes in the grand ballroom, junior ballroom, pre-function and meeting spaces. The old Crowne Plaza hotel lobby had a large terraced landscape area with a water feature that spanned from the upper to the lower area. As part of the renovation, this expansive landscaped area was removed and replaced with elevated slabs and a grand stair to the lower atrium in order to maximize usable space.

The renovation included new very upscale upper and lower level bars, extensive millwork (over $1 million in the atrium area), over 18,000 sf of large format Italian stone tile to replace the old bluestone flooring on a new 3” mud bed, repainting of the atrium structure and tinting of the slope glazed windows (over 1,600 pieces of glass), new light fixtures and dimming systems, new sound system, new meeting and gathering spaces at the upper level, new restaurant finishes, and all new furnishings.

In the ballroom and meeting room areas, all the grand ballroom and pre-function area chandeliers were replaced, lighting and dimming systems were updated, walls and ceilings were re-finished, millwork wall panels were sanded and faux finished and approximately 4,200 square yards of floor coverings were replaced.
