OUR STORY
Our co-founders Jeff Shell and Billy McElroy met in the 1990s while working for a top contractor in Atlanta. As the decades passed, both men became well-established in their fields. Jeff became an expert in project management, and Billy rose to prominence in field operations. A new chapter in their relationship began in 2014 when they decided to build a construction company that was focused more on the customer experience and less on the spreadsheet.
Shell McElroy takes great pride in what we do and building lasting relationships through a servant-mindset. As a result of those relationships, we have been able to serve an array of markets throughout the Southeast. The services we offer include hospitality, office, student housing/multifamily, historic restoration/adaptive re-use, tenant/renovation, mixed-use retail, industrial, and municipal projects.
Our goal is to do a great job on each project we take on, which means being personally invested from start to finish. For this reason, we have worked hard to identify and recruit individuals who complement our strengths and enhance our expertise. As a result of our thoughtful approach, we can work lean, maximize the value of the owner's investment, build with integrity, execute safe projects, and deliver on our promises.
Shell McElroy's Southeast roots and skilled team of builders are a match for any project. We are licensed in Georgia, Alabama, North and South Carolina. Having built a trustworthy reputation on creating an excellent experience, we are deeply committed to creating the ideal construction partnership.
